About CAMRI
Centre for Advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CAMRI) is the first MRI venture in New Zealand focusing on highβend research work as well as routine and specialist clinical imaging. It is based at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland Grafton Campus and the Radiology Department at Te Toka Tumai, Auckland City Hospital.
CAMRI is accredited by International Accreditation New Zealand .
Role responsibilities
- Supervision of MRI scans that require contrast, medication or for patients who have an implanted cardiac device such as a pacemaker.
- Obtaining consent for contrast or other drugs required.
- Placing IV lines for patients undergoing contrast, although many CAMRI staff are trained and able to perform this task also.
- Overseeing the administration of the contrast agent and care of the patient for the duration of the MRI scan appointment.
