Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly service.
- Scan and process items at the checkout counter.
- Accept payments via cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payment methods.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as necessary.
- Count and balance the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Answer customer questions and resolve minor complaints.
- Follow company policies regarding cash handling and security.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Prior cashier or customer service experience (helpful but not always required).
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
