Position Overview
The Carrier Sales Representative is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining relationships with carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective coverage of assigned loads. The role focuses on selling freight at competitive rates while meeting margin targets and ensuring operational compliance and service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate, and secure carriers to cover minimum 10 loads daily, making sure we have a positive margin of at least 22% on each load.
- Being accountable for your loads. You booked it, itβs your load.
- Create and maintain relationships with carriers and drivers.
- Negotiate competitive rates aligned with company margin objectives.
- Proactively contact carriers.
- Verify carrier credentials and compliance (MC, insurance, authority, W9, etc.).
