Responsible for the triage of specialist outpatient (SOC) appointment requests received from various referral streams to divisions under Department of Medicine.

The overall objectives are to:

• Improve clinical care by right‑siting patients to appropriate specialties.
• Improve clinical safety by triaging patients to early appointments as clinically required.
• Consolidate appointments for patients where appropriate.
• Manage overall wait times for appointments.
• Reduce no‑show to appointments, especially first visit.

• Reduce no show of first visit appointments by calling patients to confirm their attendance, and assist in any cancelations, rescheduling, or adhoc patient enquiry.
