Provide basic nursing care that aligns with the vision, mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives of the nursing services and the hospital.
Notify the nursing leaders of any situations that impact the quality of care.
Obtain ward report and assignment at the beginning of each shift and perform additional tasks as assigned by the Unit Manager or Senior Registered Nurse.
Conduct regular nursing rounds to assess patients’ needs and communicate with them and their families.
Prepare and tidy beds, reclining chairs, linens, and other facilities before arrival of patients.
Provide drinks for patients and collect cups and meal trays after use.
Keep patients comfortable by providing blankets, positioning them, and switching on TV or radio as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of the unit area, store, fridge, and associated facilities.
