Overview
Acts as a technical resource in adult and pediatric echocardiography. Oversees technical procedures and quantitative portions of echocardiography reports, and coordinates inpatient work flow to ensure safe and effective patient care. Orients all new echocardiography laboratory technicians in all clinical areas, instruct technical and professional staff in current practices.
Responsibilities
* Maintains a high level of technical skills of the Cardiopulmonary Technologist - Echocardiography Laboratory.
* Oversees the daily operation of the echocardiography laboratory and directs work flow to ensure safe and effective patient care.
* Evaluates echocardiography studies performed in the laboratory and assures technically adequate exams by providing necessary expertise and instruction to obtain difficult views when necessary.
