Graduation from an accredited school for Cardiac Ultrasonography.
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
Certification from ARDMS or CCI is required.
CPR Certification within 3 months of hire.
Preferred:
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) via the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Work Environment
Work is performed in office setting, ultrasound rooms and at patient bedside. All work performed requires working in close quarters with other employees. The offices are air conditioned/heated. Areas are occasionally subject to fumes. Ability to push equipment. Limited access to patients.
