The role

We are looking for a Camera Operator to join our team at Representing Border, based at the Scottish Parliament.

You will provide first class camera and programme-gathering skills, covering all aspects of our output. You will work with our skilled team providing technical, craft and operational skills as needed for production. You will be provided with the necessary cameras and additional equipment to support your role.

You’ll work on our current affairs programme Representing Border. The role involves shooting high quality pre‑planned interviews with senior politicians, interviewing individuals and panels, and quick‑turnaround reaction to breaking stories in the busy environment of the Scottish Parliament.

There will also be a requirement to regularly crew live broadcasts into the Lookaround and Tyne Tees news programmes using a LiveU and dealing with gallery talk‑back as appropriate. A willingness to cover news shifts on occasion, produ...
