SAMEA invites experienced Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) professionals to volunteer as Mentors in the Emerging Evaluators (EE) Programme.

The EE Programme is an award‑winning initiative, recognised at the Eval4Action – Youth in Evaluation Champion Awards, that strengthens the capacity of Young Emerging Evaluators (YEEs) by providing structured work placements, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

Through partnerships with leading organisations such as UNICEF SA, UN World Food Programme, CLEAR‑AA, and the FirstRand Foundation, the programme supports YEEs from diverse backgrounds to gain practical experience within South African host organisations across public, NGO, and private sectors.

To strengthen the learning experience of these YEEs, SAMEA is seeking experienced M&E professionals to serve as volunteer mentors for the duration of a YEE placement (during their respective host organisations).
