Job Description
- Conducts electric/electronic or physical/mechanical calibration and preventive maintenance on a wide variety of General Purpose Test Equipment (GPTE) and Automated Test Equipment (ATE) in accordance with Navy calibration procedures.
- Understands and applies uncertainties to measurements made.
- Maintains calibration standards.
- Follows written Quality Manual and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Performs quality assignments such as 5S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize and sustain).
- Performs calibration work with little to no supervision.
- Researches requirements, technical documentation, parts, and obsolescence alternatives as necessary.
- Conducts calibration work at customer sites (if applicable) with little to no direction.
- Maintains lab compliance with external specifications, standards, and regulations.
