Job Summary
:The postion is responsible for creating 2D and 3D layouts using NX software to assist Project Engineers with quoting automation concepts for industrial manufacturing cells. ENGEL injection molding machine + robot + peripherals such as feeders, conveyors, box servers, etc. (such as feeders, conveyors, box servers, and other auxiliary automation equipment). Many of the peripherals are predesigned. Must be able to take sketches of concepts and translate to functioning models in order to provide proof of concept and visual display for customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create 2D and 3D layouts/concepts
Work with Project Engineers on requirements
Abide by ANSI and OSHA safety and general industrial positioning standards
Be able to rework based on PE/customer feedback
Be able to create new peripheral designs from scratch
