NATURE OF WORK

Reporting to the Community Safety Manager, the Bylaw Supervisor shall lead the public’s compliance and education of all City bylaws, regulations and general Public Safety Departmental policies and procedures. The Bylaw Supervisor works closely with the Community Safety Manager to ensure timely, appropriate, and professional service. May be assigned to act on behalf of the Manager in their absence.

Supervises and provides direction to departmental staff as assigned.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Works under the direction and supervision of the Community Safety Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs all duties of the Bylaw Officers (II, I and Technician) as required.
• Researches legislation and laws including other municipal practices and makes recommendations to improve or enhance bylaw services. ...
