Working in a collaborative team environment, the Buyer is responsible for supporting the strategic sourcing and related transactional activities for assigned categories.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Independently negotiate and prepare contracts, pricing and supplier agreements Evaluate, qualify and select suppliers based on quality, service, cost and capability Contribute to the development and presentation of market-competitive category management strategies, using analysis of supply markets and trend data Utilise Company software systems to complete reporting and analysis as required Process a high volume of purchasing requisitions Manage purchasing order confirmations, coordinate deliveries and past due purchase orders Release purchase orders on a timely basis whilst adhering to company procedures and guidelines Execute all standard operating proc...
