Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and prepare meat according to customer specifications and company standards.
- Weigh, package, and label meat products for sale or delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the meat processing area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Inspect meat quality and ensure proper storage to prevent spoilage.
- Operate cutting equipment such as slicers, grinders, and saws safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training in butchery is a plus).
- Proven experience as a butcher or meat cutter.
- Knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, and storage requirements.
- Ability to use knives, saws, and other cutting tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in cutting and packaging.
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and lift heavy items.
