A national RBCA are currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector to operate in the vicinity of Huntingdon. The home-based autonomous role will suit a Class 2A or 2B RBI looking to specialise in residential developments throughout the construction process.

Building Inspector responsibilities

• Check plans for compliance with Building Regulations, structural warranty criteria, and associated guidance
• Undertake inspection of works and produce detailed inspection records
• Issue initial notices, plan certificates, amendment notices and final certificates
• Ensure inspections have been carried out, with appropriate certification submitted, and that defects/non-conformities have been addressed prior to issuing final certificate
• Operate in accordance with QMS procedures
• Provide mentoring and support for trainee surveyors
• Attend client meetings as required
