Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Envelope Authority:
Apply advanced building science expertise to govern University envelope standards; establish and enforce Design and Construction Manual ( DCM ) standards for both the exterior skin and high-durability interior finishes.
Technical Review & Forensics:
Direct the Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx) process for capital projects; authorize performance testing (infrared thermography, air barrier testing) and conduct forensic analysis on existing facility failures (e.g., water intrusion, chronic elevator outages).
Asset & Maintenance Liaison:
Formulate the Asset Management Plan for the building shell, interiors, and vertical transportation; translate complex engineering requirements into practical workflows for Maintenance Operations shops.
