An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join the Clinical Chemistry Department at Hull, part of the Scarborough, Hull and York Pathology Service (SHYPS)

You will join a dedicated team delivering an efficient, high-quality diagnostic service within a busy Clinical Biochemistry laboratory. The role involves participation in scientific work for the investigation of pathological disease. The post holder will have in-depth scientific knowledge of Clinical Biochemistry with particular emphasis on toxicology, trace elements, chromatography and mass spectrometry.

The successful candidate will work within the Specialist Biochemistry section, which provides a wide range of specialist analytical services. The equipment within the section includes two Mass Spectrometers, HPLC , ICP-MS, HM-JACKarc, and two Phadia Immunocap analysers .
