Essential Job Functions
• Assists with minor equipment support activities under direct supervision and within the scope of assigned training and demonstrated competency.
• Learns to identify common equipment issues and appropriately escalates concerns to the assigned preceptor, biomedical technician, or department leader.
• Assists with equipment rounds, equipment location, equipment cleaning, transport, staging, and return-to-service preparation as directed.
• Learns and supports accurate work order documentation, service history updates, inventory tracking, and other department recordkeeping requirements.
• Observes and participates in communication with clinical departments regarding equipment status, service needs, follow-up, and appropriate escalation.
• Assists with maintaining parts, supplies, manuals, test equipment, and department workspace organization.
