Position Overview

Position Type: Permanent. Title: Bilingual Disability Claims Specialist. This role supports members through illness, recovery and return to work by providing disability benefits and proactive case management.

Key Responsibilities

• Adjudicate disability claims from initial decision through case‑management plan development.
• Identify support needs for each case and monitor treatment and plan achievement.
• Communicate regularly with claimants, employers and providers.
• Use claims tools and request ongoing medical care as needed.
• Track key dates within the claim lifecycle and update case plans as required.
• Meet service level standards for the assigned case load.
• Render timely, potentially difficult decisions, communicate outcomes and manage escalations.
