A specialist PRU in South Shields is looking to appoint a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to support pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support.

The setting provides a structured and supportive environment focused on helping students re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.

Main Duties:

• Providing classroom-based support
• Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis
• Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation plans
• Encouraging engagement with learning activities
• Supporting social skills development
• Working alongside external agencies where required
