Behaviour Support Assistant
About the Role:
We are looking for a dependable, proactive and resilient individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. This is a practical, active role suited to someone who is confident, steady under pressure, and ready to get stuck in to support young people in a meaningful way.
You will work closely with students with a range of additional needs, supporting them throughout the school day both in and out of the classroom. The role calls for patience, consistency, and a calm, firm approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting students with learning, behaviour, and day-to-day routines
Assisting the class teacher with lessons and structured activities
Working one-to-one or with small groups to reinforce learning
Managing challenging behaviour with confidence and consistency
