What You'll Do
As Behavior Intervention Specialist, you will develop comprehensive behavioral support plans consistent with OPWDD regulations using positive, proactive approaches, emphasizing the development of replacement behaviors. You will develop comprehensive behavior intervention plans consistent with New York State Education Department (NYSED) regulations that focus on proactive and active strategies that support an individualβs academic goals. You will also support the monitoring, data collection, and reporting of behavioral challenges and the growth of replacement behaviors.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
+ Completing functional behavioral analysis prior to the development of a behavior support plan (BSP) β OPWDD β at intake and yearly.
+ Completing behavior Support plans (BSPs) for residents β OPWDD at intake and yearly or as requested by the Human Rights Committee (HRC).
