Overview
A steel manufacturing company is seeking a AWS CWI | Sr. Welding Engineer responsible for ensuring the structural integrity and reliability of welded components. This role requires strong technical expertise in welding processes, metallurgy, and engineering standards to evaluate weld quality and support production operations.
What You’ll Do
Create, review, and maintain welding procedures (WPS), specifications, and standard operating procedures.
Inspect weld samples and perform or review non-destructive testing (NDT).
Set up welding qualification tests and maintain welder certifications.
Design and implement fixtures for welding processes.
Provide technical guidance and training on welding methods.
