Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University is accepting applications for an Auxiliary Adjunct in Music Literature (Musicology) . This is a full-time benefited position located on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.

Position Responsibilities:


+ Teach 9-12 credit hours per semester of undergraduate and graduate courses in music history with a preferred area of expertise in popular music traditions.


+ An additional teaching assignment may include a course on indigenous music traditions and graduate seminars in an area of expertise. The candidate will teach a minimum of three courses per semester.


+ Develop and update course curricula, including syllabi, lectures, and assignments.

+ Advise and mentor students on academic and career paths.

+ Engage in scholarly or creative activities, which may include research, publications, presentations, or artistic productions.
