**Job Description**

**Position Purpose**

The Associate Chief Information Officer (ACIO) will serve as the operational leader overseeing the delivery of Information Technology (IT) services within a newly consolidated and evolving operating model within the School of Medicine (SoM). The position reports to the School of Medicine Vice Dean of Administration and Operations with a technical, dotted line reporting relationship to the UW Medicine Chief Information Officer. Working closely with both leaders, they will provide shared oversight and direction for SoM IT strategy, operations, and governance. This position will oversee the implementation and sustained evolution of a centralized SoM IT service desk and integrated end-user support model and build out a robust research IT support framework.
