The Assistant Vice Provost for Academic Success ( AVPAS ) provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and innovation leadership for the university’s undergraduate academic success ecosystem. Reporting directly to the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Student Success, the AVPAS plays a critical role in advancing equitable academic outcomes, strengthening student persistence, and modernizing undergraduate education to meet the evolving needs of today’s learners.

This role is central to aligning curriculum, academic policy, and high‑impact practices with institutional priorities for retention, timely graduation, workforce readiness, and post‑graduate success. The AVPAS ensures that undergraduate academic experiences are responsive to changing student demographics, learning modalities, and expectations, while maintaining academic rigor and compliance.
