Assistant Registrar

The Waitangi Tribunal is a permanent commission of inquiry charged with making recommendations on claims brought by Māori relating to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. It holds a unique place in the New Zealand constitutional framework.
Te Haeata/The Opportunity
The Assistant Registrar supports the Waitangi Tribunal by performing registrarial functions that are essential to the effective operation of the organisation. These functions include:
* the registration of claims;
* preparing Legal Aid application reports; and
* providing drafting assistance and advice in relation to legal and procedural issues.
