The Courant Institute School of Mathematics, Computing, and Data Science at New York University, seeks candidates for two (2) assistant professor faculty positions, anticipated to begin in September 2026. Faculty members are expected to be outstanding scholars and to participate in teaching at all levels, from undergraduate to doctoral. The aim of this position is to expand in the area of ML/AI for science, with a particular focus on the physical sciences. The ideal candidate will be firmly engaged in computational science, AI methodology, and scientific applications.

The Courant Institute School of Mathematics, Computing, and Data Science furthers NYU’s longtime preeminence in mathematics, applied mathematics, data science, computer science, and engineering.
