Specific Responsibilities and Duties

In addition to mutually agreed upon goals to be developed in partnership with the department director, and the division chief, the assistant professor shall assume the following responsibilities and duties:

Clinical: Service commensurate with your skills in cardiac surgery at a clinical commitment of 90% effort. You are expected to participate in the adult cardiac surgery commitment of 90% effort. You are expected to participate in the adult cardiac surgery service call responsibilities as well as call for cardiac transplantation/mechanical circulatory support. We expect you to be clinical 4 days/week. Your practice will substantially focus on transplant surgery, including inpatient rounding, participation in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement efforts, etc.as well as the full spectrum of adult cardiac surgery.
