Overview


The Assistant/Associate Professor is a full-time faculty member with all the duties and responsibilities of ranked faculty at the Graduate School of Education, with expertise in Early Childhood Education & Special Education. This position will also work closely with the program Chair and the Office of Clinical Practice to promote alignment of course content with the candidate's clinical experience.


Responsibilities


+ Teach graduate courses in the programs offered for initial teacher certification in both general education and teaching students with disabilities (grades B-2)

+ Maintain knowledge of standards and curriculum guidelines by NYSED, NYCPS, AAQEP, DEC and other agencies, with special emphasis on early literacy, math, and teaching students with disabilities in early childhood settings
