Summary Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities. Responsibilities Assists the Human Resource Manager (HRM) in supervising Human Resources Specialists in the areas of local labor management, disciplinary and grievance procedures, staffing (recruitment, requesting certificates of eligibles, interviewing and pre-employment processing), classification, employee benefits, workforce projections, the performance evaluation and incentive awards programs, time and attendance, leave administration and compensation. Assists the HRM in advising management in disciplinary and adverse actions. Participates with management officials in the formulation, implantation and evaluation of policies, procedures and programs including the strategic planning process.
