Position Overview
Assists optometrists/ophthalmologists during eye examinations: This includes tasks such as preparing patients for examinations, conducting basic vision tests (e.g., visual acuity, color vision), documenting patient information, and maintaining a clean and organized examination room.
Provides excellent customer service: Greets patients warmly, answers patient inquiries regarding procedures and appointment scheduling, and ensures a comfortable and positive experience for all patients.
Maintains inventory and equipment: Assists with ordering and maintaining supplies, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned, calibrated, and in good working order. This may also include basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Some positions may require post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., medical assisting, ophthalmic technology).
