Portion out patients’ food for every meal time in the plating room according to the diet sheet/menu.
Send patients’ meals to the wards for every meal and collect dirty crockery and trays from the wards after each meal.
Wash all food containers and utensils used during serving and ensure the working area is clean.
Perform ward rounds every morning and afternoon to update diet sheets by checking against the wards’ day books for discharging patients or new admissions.
Assist each patient in the wards with their preferred menu for the following day.
Key in the diet order from patients into the Meal Order Form.
Summarise the menu for the following day for each ward separately for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and fill in the Menu Sorting Form.
Produce a summary of monthly meals served.
Inform the chef/cook if special items have been requested by patients.
