We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Farm Manager to join our dynamic team, based in Alberton. Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a farm by planning, organising, managing livestock, and maintenance of facilities and equipment. Duties & Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the feed yards. Ensure profitable operations of the feedlot to optimize feeding parameters. Develop a feeding program for the herd, considering any special considerations. Understand the nutritional requirements for the livestock of relevance, considering what promotes healthy growth. Work with veterinarians to ensure animal health is maintained, and any sickness is caught immediately. Preparing plans and schedules for planting, spraying, land operations, and harvesting and ensuring staff understands expectations. Ensure that the feedlot is clean and well maintained.
