Job Purpose
The Assistant Director: Asset and Inventory Management will be responsible for maintaining and managing the organisation's asset and inventory records in compliance with applicable financial legislation and accounting standards. The role ensures proper asset management practices, accurate reporting, and compliance with Public Finance Management regulations and financial reporting frameworks.
Key Responsibilities Asset Management Maintain and manage the entity's Asset Register in compliance with GRAP standards . Ensure proper recording, tracking, and reconciliation of assets . Monitor asset movements, acquisitions, and disposals. Inventory and Stock Control Manage and supervise stock verification processes , particularly related to confiscated marine, fisheries, and aquaculture resources.
