The role

We are seeking an Asset Controller in South Africa to join our Controlling team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial reporting from investee entities, including business planning and forecasting. There will be a critical commercial side to the role, working closely with the Mercuria investing team and trading desk to assist in asset management initiatives and monitoring trading activity with and within local JV entities.

This role involves close collaboration with and oversight of the financial controllers of local JV entities to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely information through a cloud-based reporting system. It also requires coordination with other internal departments—such as treasury, middle office, and financial reporting—to align and reconcile key financial data.
