Location: Birkenhead

Pay: £16.23 per hour (PAYE up to £18.03 after completing competencies). Progression: up to £34,694 upon successful completion of competencies.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Rail Fitter / Assembly Fitter to join a modern and well‑maintained facility in Birkenhead. This is a hands‑on role focused on the stripping, assembly, and preparation of rail components as part of rolling stock overhaul operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Strip down and fit components on rail parts and assemblies.
• Clean parts to required standards using appropriate methods.
• Prepare components for inspection, repair, or reassembly.
• Sandblast, paint and assemble train components.
• Follow safety, quality, and process procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organised working area.
