Asphalt Labor Supervisor

The Asphalt Labor Supervisor provides supervision to a group of Laborers and Equipment Operators engaged in general roadway maintenance and repair work. An employee in this class assigns, inspects, and evaluates the work of skilled, semi-skilled or unskilled workers in a wide variety of tasks. The Asphalt Labor Supervisor works with the Superintendent to assign areas of work to team members and provide detailed standards to be met by the team. The Asphalt Labor Supervisor monitors work performed by the team while underway and inspects the work upon completion. In addition, this position is critical to the support of emergency and special events, such as flooding and snow events.
