:SUBTITLE: Introduction to Laser/Optical Diagnostics
Course description:
Laser/optical diagnostics provide critical insight into complex processes with high temporal and spatial resolution. This course introduces the principles of laser/optical diagnostics for understanding, trouble-shooting, and optimizing various engineering processes. Introduction to the working principles of lasers, optical fiber, common tools for optical diagnostics (spectral filters, grading, monochromator, spectrometer, etc.) Applications to combustion engines β including reciprocal engines and gas turbines - are also covered.
