Summary
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantΒ provides specialty and preventive cardiac health care services to an adult population. In collaboration with the attending physician, provides all aspects of acute care including patient admissions, consults, follow-up care and discharges. Coordinates specialty care and discharge management for acute care patients. Provides care to same population in the office setting as well.
Education
For Nurse Practitioners: Completion of Master's degree in Advanced Practice Nursing or 4 years of formal training or education beyond high school (e.g. Bachelor's Degree).
For Physician Assistants: Completion of an accredited Physicians Assistant Certification Program is required.
Certification, Registration & Licensure
Certification required: ACLS.
Licensure required: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse: New Hampshire license as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and DEA license.
