Flexible Work, Better Balance
The Animal Welfare Officer is responsible for attending to animal rescue cases. This includes retrieving animals, assessing rescued animals, and transporting them back to the shelter or veterinary clinics for housing and medical attention. The incumbent is expected to work in a shift system that encompasses public holidays and weekends, be physically fit to attend to animal rescue cases, work largely outdoors under various weather conditions, and spend long hours driving to attend to rescue calls. When not attending to rescue calls, the officer is expected to assist in the care of animals within the shelter.
