JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: The Lab Analyst I is responsible for performing analytical testing of inorganic materials and is also responsible for managing data in support of Materion’s requirements for customers and the ISO 17025 management system. The Lab Analyst I reports to the Analytical Lab Manager.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

+ Follow standard procedures regarding sample preparation prior to instrumental analysis; this entails very accurate weighing of samples, hot plate acid digestion of samples, and accurate dilutions among other common laboratory procedures; attention to detail is a key requirement.
