Credit Evaluation Review and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) of prospective and existing customers. Assess credit applications and determine appropriate credit limits and payment terms. Pull and interpret credit bureau reports (e.g., D&B, Experian, Equifax Business).
Risk Assessment Identify financial, operational, and reputational risks associated with extending credit. Monitor existing accounts for signs of deteriorating creditworthiness. Recommend account holds, credit limit adjustments, or collection actions when warranted.
Reporting & Documentation Prepare detailed credit reviews and risk assessment reports for management review. Maintain accurate records of credit decisions, supporting documentation, and customer correspondence. Produce periodic portfolio risk reports and aging analyses.
