The Role

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will:

• Maintain and upgrade a variety of steel and aluminium vessels in Huon’s Fleet from ocean going ships to small Dinghies.
• Undertake vessel construction and modifications, including a variety of projects on land and water.

This opportunity is a full-time position operating on a 4 days on 3 days off roster. Above award wages and overtime rates apply. The position attracts an hourly rate of $42.92

About you

• You have trade qualifications and experience in relevant discipline and are competent in MIG and TIG welding.
• Experience in aluminium welding is essential
• You are confident in your ability to fabricate and assemble as per engineers and shop drawings.
• You have excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate in small or large teams on projects.
