Description

The Allied Therapist - Art provides weekly art group services and therapeutic support to consumers. Utilizes art therapy techniques and psychotherapeutic methods to support social skills, promote honest verbal and visual expression, encourage growth and catharsis through art process, build self-esteem and confidence, understand and identify emotions, and promote positive peer interactions and communication. Maintains coordination and collaboration with lead clinician and treatment teams. Maintains positive working relationships with consumers, direct care staff, and treatment team. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide support for consumers in coping with trauma, mental health, and behavior issues.
