Responsibilities As a AIRCRAFT ENGINE MECHANIC (WG-8602-10), you will certify acceptable performance, test, repair, trouble-shoot, operationally check and modify aircraft turbine and auxiliary power units, and associated propulsion system components. It also covers work involving engine accessories such as starters, generators, anti-icers, and fuel control devices when such assignments are incidental to work on the completed engine. Works also involves the review of engine/component records to determine cause of failure and the extent of disassembly and repair required in returning engine and/or component to operational condition.
