The Canadian defined benefit plan, with assets exceeding $14 billion, is one of Canada’s oldest and largest corporate pension plans.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Review financial reporting of pension and other post‑retirement benefit plans for external financial statements
• Develop actuarial assumptions and conduct experience studies
• Document and explain internal control processes as required for SOX compliance
• Complete government filings and ensure compliance with pension legislation in Canada and the U.S.
• Support the Pension Services team with administration functions such as complex pension calculations
