An exciting new opportunity arisen to work in the Walsall Healthcare Trust's imaging service. The Advanced Practitioner Sonographer will perform ultrasound scans at a level exceeding those found at enhanced practitioner level, encompassing more specialised examinations such as full Musculo-skeletal (Essential), full paediatrics, full vascular or advanced procedures such as contrast enhanced ultrasound. The post holder will work autonomously within the specialist area, producing high-quality independent examination reports that inform the diagnostic and treatment pathways, whilst also contributing to the general ultrasound rota in other areas such as in-patient and general GP/out-patient ultrasound. The post holder will act as training and development lead for ultrasound, co‑ordinating training for sonographer and managing the CPD activities provided the department.
