Position Overview
Summary This non-supervisory position provides direct medical care to non-citizens in ICE custody and oversees APP projects. Reporting to the Regional Director, the role supports quality healthcare at 21 facilities and manages care for detainees at 240 additional sites, serving about 34,000 daily and 400,000 annually with a multidisciplinary team. This position is only open to USPHS officers who are currently IHSC employees. USPHS Call to Active Duty (CAD) candidates are not eligible for this position. Responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical Support Duties: Incumbent serves as nurse practitioner or physician assistant providing medical care to non-citizens at IHSC staffed facilities as temporary duty (TDY) status.
