Job Description

We have a unique approach to caring for patients with cardiovascular conditions. Our Cardiovascular Hospitalist providers are an independent hospitalist team that works primarily out of the Acute Cardiovascular unit at Intermountain Medical Center. This collaborative group of providers, comprised of both APPs and physicians, admit patients coming in with a presumed primary cardiac conditions and provides comprehensive consultative service within the CV unit. There are dedicated CV Intensivists in the building, so there is no ICU care provided by the CV Hospitalist team. They manage most heart failure, acute MI, myopericarditis, primary and secondary arrhythmias admitted. If the patient is found to have a primary medical condition after initial work-up, they continue to manage the patient on their service. Patients are not transferred to the General Medicine team.
